365/2010 Challenge

Ok, I’m committing… to the 365/2010 Challenge.  I will be taking a picture every day of 2010 and adding it to the flickr group EdTech365/2010.  You can view my recent pictures on my photostream.

I will also choose one of my pictures from each week to display here and reflect on it. I will also be adding ideas for how teachers can use the 365 challenge with their students.

Why did I decide to take this challenge? Two reasons:

  1. I like the idea of seeing my year in pictures
  2. There will be teachers using the pictures that are added to this group and I thought it would be nice to help them have a collection of pics to choose from.

If you are interested in joining a 365/2010 group go to flickr and check out the groups. Also, check out these resources:

Tips for surviving the 365 project I specifically like #9: It’s 365 Photos, not 365 Masterpieces.  I am not a professional photographer and most of my pics will be taken with my Blackberry, Jazz, or a simple point and click SONY Cybershot.

Thanks to @MrsDi for your post and PLN encouragement (read her post on the challenge)

This was my first picture taken and posted to flickr on January 1, 2010. I took it while walking my dog.

So, here goes nothing… I’ve made it two days so far.

  1. You are on your way! That first step is always the biggest – it’s great to see you jump in! Lots of first-timers in the 365 project, including myself. Lots of PLN support and some neat Flickr groups too. I look forward to seeing your pics and reading your reflections. It’s fascinating to choose just one thing each day to bring to the project.

    Good luck!
